How Verification Works

Once both a verification channel and role are configured, SecurityBot automatically posts a verification embed in the channel:

  • Title: "Verification"

  • Description: Instructions to click the "Verify Me" button

  • Button: "Verify Me" (primary style)

When a member clicks "Verify Me", they are presented with a captcha modal. Completing the captcha correctly grants them the configured verification role.

Subcommand Details

/verification channel

Sets the channel where the verification embed is posted. SecurityBot validates that it has MESSAGE_SEND permission in the channel. If both channel and role are already configured, the verification embed is posted automatically.

/verification role

Sets the role assigned to members who complete verification. SecurityBot validates that it can assign the role (role hierarchy check) and that the role is not managed by an integration. If both channel and role are already configured, the verification embed is posted automatically.
